Monday? Nah.

I'd like to officially jump the shark. I said Monday, but: I've got new digs at adamlawson.us. Update your blog rolls accordingly.

Grr blogger.

I good and borked my template and there's no way to revert, apparently, to the old style.

That's okay, I have a solution but it won't be ready until Monday.

Update: Fixed it, but I was planning to ditch anyway.

A great summary

Here. Bill Whittle and Oatworm's comments especially.

Confirming what we knew..

One of the Jena Six proves to be a thug. Everyone, except the race-baiting idiots, knew this already.

And then there were two.

Romney out

Picking losers

Much like with girls, I seem to always pick politicians destined to lose. This trend also tends to repeat itself in sports, but that's another post entirely (and the Giants won so it's not 100%). I pick Fred, Fred drops out. I pick Romney, and he gets pretty well and destroyed yesterday. As it stands, at this point, McCain nearly has the nomination wrapped up. Huckabee and Romney need nearly all of the remaining delegates, and McCain needs around 2/3rds of them. Slightly less than, actually, based on most estimates.

With that in mind, I would like to formally endorse Barack Obama for the Democratic nod. (Hey, newspapers endorse both sides!) Run, Barry, run!

The Gipper

Mary Katharine Ham points out what today is, in addition to "the day after Super Tuesday." Happy Birthday, Mr. President.

He would be 97. I wonder what he'd think about the situation today? The candidates, the reaction. The way we're all acting. The war. What would Ronnie do?

Last night's reminder.

Last night should serve as a reminder: John Zogby is a fucking idiot.

He had Romney up eight in California. He had Kerry up by ten or so. Every election, he's wrong. Why is he still in the polling business? His math is worse than the RIAA's.

Bah.

My governor just put me in my place on Fox News:

"I can support any of the three against the competition in November."

There's not a whole lot of politicians I'll listen to. But Barbour proved himself through Katrina, and I liked him before that. I'd already been reconsidering my position; mostly because of Ann Coulter. That shrill bitch is not someone I want to be the same as. And now Barbour throws his hat in the "the party" vote.

Here's to eating my hat.

Yo, motherfuckers.

How about we pass a law mandating that ALL elections must be recorded electronically so the results can be announced the instant the polls close, instead of this bullshit "1% precincts reporting..." I'm having to look at?

Like Stephen Green, I'm drunk blogging Stupid Tuesday. Unlike Mr. Green, I'm not actually doing the blogging part. I will drink an entire keg of vodka if hell freezes over and Huckabee emerges the candidate, though.

do not want

I've been silent on politics for a few days, and silent on everything really. I've heard a lot from both sides of the issue on John McCain. There are those who say they won't vote for him, ever, and those who think this is a ridiculous stance because it guarantees a Hillary or Obama win. Despite my reluctance to vote for McCain, I leaned towards the latter for a while. No longer. I was thinking about this a few nights ago and came to the following conclusion:

I am no longer compromising on politics. This is the line in the sand. If there are going to be four years of horrific Democrat ideas tossed around in the Whitehouse, I want the liberal Democrats blamed for it, not the Republican party. And if you think John McCain is in any way the conservative candidate, think again. No more "lesser of two evils" votes -- the lesser of two evils is still evil. I will not vote for the man who said he'd rather have a clean government than free speech. TO. HELL. WITH. THAT. Especially coming from one of the Keating Five.

No more compromise. No more choosing the lesser of two evils. It's done. I don't owe the party a damned thing, and they certainly don't feel like they owe me anything. I will not vote for John McCain. I will write in a candidate, but I will not vote for someone I cannot abide. If you want to vote for John McCain, fine. I don't care. But when he loses, remember that there were better candidates you passed up. If he wins and fucks up, remember that post at Daily Pundit.

He's an untrustworthy slimeball and a hypocrite. He's directly attacked the Constitution he swore to protect. I will not vote for an oathbreaker.

Giant Droid Deathmatch

I ordered one of my textbooks from Amazon. It is scheduled to arrive today via DHL. I also ordered myself some computer stuff from Newegg. It is scheduled to arrive today via UPS. I wondered about this -- if they both arrive at the same time, will the two deliverymen fight to the death?

Second, what if instead of that, their respective vehicles transformed and they got into a Transformers style robot fight? My money in this case is definitely on the UPS truck; it's a huge vehicle. DHL drives little vans around. The size advantage is clearly in the favor of Brown.
